Who you are dealing with
Space is a product of SpaceCode Studios (Pty) Ltd. In this document Space is the service, we and us are SpaceCode Studios, and you are the business whose account it is.
These terms apply from the moment you create an account, and they are read together with the refunds and cancellations policy and the privacy policy, both published on this site. Where those documents deal with a subject, they govern it.
Everything reaches us at one address: space@spacecodestudios.com. There is no second channel, so nothing you send there is waiting in a queue somebody else owns.
What Space does
Space is a hosted spatial catalogue. You publish a 3D version of a product and get one public link for it. You put that link behind a button on the product page you already have. A shopper who opens it sees the object at the size you approved and, on a supported device, can place it in their own room.
Space deliberately does not do several things:
- it does not sell your products or take a shopper’s order;
- it does not touch your cart, your checkout or your payments;
- it does not change anything on your website — you add one ordinary link;
- it does not list your catalogue anywhere. A published object address is unlisted: whoever holds the link can open it, and you decide who that is.
Your account
One account holds your business, your catalogue and everyone who works on it. To open one you give a business name, your registered legal name, a web address, your own name and an email address, and choose a password. We send a six-digit code to that address to confirm it is yours.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your password to yourself, and your account secure;
- what the people you invite to your account do with it — their actions are your account’s actions;
- having the right to use every model, photograph, logo and brand mark you upload;
- the width, height and depth you approve for each item. That is the size a shopper sees in their room, and Space shows what you approved. Getting it right is yours.
Your work stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into Space: your models, your photographs, your logo, your brand colours and your product information. Nothing you upload becomes ours.
You give us permission to store, convert, normalise and serve that material for one purpose — running Space for you. In practice that means validating a model, building the derivative file each kind of device needs, and serving those files publicly at the addresses you choose to publish. If you order 3D rendering assistance it also covers sending the reference photographs you select to the specialist rendering service that produces the model, which the privacy policy describes.
That permission covers running the service and nothing else. It ends for anything we no longer need it for.
Plans, publishing and limits
Building a catalogue, uploading models, having them processed and approving them are free. A plan starts when you publish your first public link.
The plans differ in one thing only: how many objects you may have published at once. Everything else — the viewers, the device coverage, the approved dimensions — is the same on every plan. Drafts, uploads and unapproved revisions do not count towards the limit, so you can build and test a whole catalogue before you pay for anything.
Prices are shown on the pricing page, in South African rand, per month, excluding VAT. The price you pay is the one shown to you at checkout. If you reach your plan’s limit, publishing another object needs a larger plan; nothing you have already published goes dark while you decide.
Payment, renewal and arrears
Payments are taken by Paystack. Full card details are entered in Paystack’s own window and never reach Space. What we keep is an authorisation token, the card brand, its last four digits and its expiry month and year — enough to charge next month’s subscription and to show you which card is on file, and not enough to use anywhere else.
A plan renews every month against that card. A renewal is charged at the plan’s price on the day it renews. If we change a plan’s published price, the new price applies from your next renewal, and cancelling before then is always open to you. A discount code applies for the number of months it says and the list price applies after that.
If a renewal is declined, Space retries the card once a day for up to seven days. Your links stay live for the whole of that window — a declined card is a payment problem, and taking a storefront off the air over one would punish the shopper rather than you. If it is still unpaid at the end of it, the account is suspended: published links stop resolving and a shopper tapping one sees an unavailable page. Paying brings everything back immediately, with the same links.
A failed payment does not delete your catalogue, your models or your object addresses.
Cancelling a plan
The account owner or an administrator can cancel at any time, from Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not stop the month you have already paid for.
- Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and everything keeps working until then.
- There is no pro rata refund of a part-used month, and none is due.
- When the period ends, published links stop resolving and shoppers see an unavailable page.
- Cancelling does not itself delete your catalogue, your models, your approved dimensions or your object addresses. An object’s address never changes, so subscribing again brings the same links back.
The refunds and cancellations policy sets out what is and is not refundable, including the one case where we refund without argument.
3D rendering assistance
If you have no 3D model, you can ask Space to build one from photographs of the real product. It is charged per product, once, on top of your monthly plan, and only when you ask for it. There are two kinds — a single image, or multiple views — priced separately on the pricing page.
Before you pay, you can cancel the order yourself and nothing is charged. Once it is paid for the order is placed and the work is committed, so cancelling it is a conversation rather than a button.
A paid render that Space does not deliver is made good with an account credit covering your next render of the same kind. That is set out in full in the refunds and cancellations policy.
Rendering assistance depends on capacity and on the photographs being usable. Space checks each photograph when you attach it and refuses the ones it can already tell will not work. Some problems only appear once the order is running, and those end the render — which is what the account credit above is for.
Suspension and takedown
We may suspend an account for non-payment, as set out above. We may also disable or remove a published object where we have good reason to believe it is unlawful, infringes somebody else’s rights, or is being used to distribute something that is not your own product.
Disabling an object stops Space resolving its page. Removing the published files is a separate and irreversible action; once they are deleted they cannot be brought back, and a new publish produces new files at a new address.
If you think we have acted on something wrongly, write to us and say so.
What we are responsible for
We take reasonable care to keep Space available and working as described on this site. We do not promise it will never be unavailable, and we do not publish an uptime figure we are not measuring against you.
Space shows the dimensions you approve. How closely a shopper’s device places an object in their room depends on their hardware, their lighting and their floor, which are not ours to control. Where a device cannot do AR at all, Space shows a 3D preview and the measurements instead.
Your rights under the law are untouched
Changes to these terms
The version date in the block at the top of this page is the version you are reading. When these terms change, the new version is published here with a new date. This version is dated 14 September 2026.
If a change materially affects what you pay or what you get, you can cancel before your next renewal and pay nothing further — which is the same right you have on any other day.
Ending the agreement
You end it by cancelling your plan and stopping. You do not need our permission and you do not need to give a reason.
We may end it if you break these terms, use Space unlawfully, or use it to publish something that is not yours.
When the agreement ends, published links stop resolving at the end of the period you have paid for. Ask us and we will tell you what we still hold and what we can remove — the privacy policy explains the limits honestly, including the one thing we cannot promise to erase instantly.
Law, and what to do about a disagreement
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
Before anything formal, write to space@spacecodestudios.com. Nearly everything is settled in one email, and we would rather answer it than argue about it.
